Thirty-five years of picking up the phone
TeleComcepts is a family-owned telecom company. We've survived every technology shift in this industry by doing the same thing through all of them: putting the customer first.
Where we started
TeleComcepts, Inc. began in 1989 as a repair and refurbishing company. From our home in Riverside, California, we repaired telephones and circuit cards, refurbished phone systems, and shipped quality equipment to customers nationwide — and in some cases overseas — typically saving them up to 40% over buying new.
That work grew into a full-service telecommunications business: selling, installing, and maintaining PBX and key telephone systems, voice mail, call accounting, voice and data cabling, long distance, PRI & T1 provisioning, and everything in between. Our customers ranged from four lines to thousands, and for our maintenance customers we kept crash kits and replacement parts stocked — sometimes right on their premises — because downtime wasn't an option for them, so it wasn't for us either.
The NEC years
For decades we were a premier NEC dealer — part of the network that integrated NEC's communications portfolio for businesses across North America, from hospitality and education to government and healthcare. That partnership taught us how enterprises actually use their phone systems, and what breaks when vendors disappear after the install.
Then the industry moved to the cloud. We moved with it.
Where we are now
Today TeleComcepts runs its own carrier-grade session border controller infrastructure on a Bandwidth-backed network, delivering SIP trunking with numbers in 8,500+ rate centers — to businesses that sign themselves up in minutes and to wholesale partners moving serious volume. As one of the larger aggregators of VoIP services, we built the kind of voice infrastructure we used to install hardware for.
And because our customers kept asking the same question — "can you just handle the internet and the rest of it too?" — we expanded full-stack through a national partner network: business internet, mobility and 5G, SD-WAN, cybersecurity, cloud, and contact center, with one advisor quoting every major carrier.
What hasn't changed
We're still family-owned. We still answer the phone. And we still believe the customer-first attitude that kept a repair shop alive through three industry revolutions is the only durable advantage in this business: professional service, honest advice, and savings we can actually prove.
"Decades as a premier NEC dealer before the industry moved to the cloud — we moved with it."
